It didn?t take long for PlasterCITY Digital Post to put its new Quantel Pablo 4K non-linear color correction system to work. No sooner was it out of its wrappings than the Pablo was busy doing digital intermediate work and grading color on five feature films in quick succession.

"We got Pablo up and running really fast," says Tom Vice, Vice President of Operations at PlasterCITY. "It arrived at the end of September and was at work right away, performing in real time. We needed a 2K and 4K image grading format to keep up with the all the new 2K and 4K acquisition formats."

PlasterCITY specializes in post-production for independent films. Among the first to go through Pablo was Stiletto, a crime-action thriller starring Tom Berenger and directed by Nick Vallelonga, which is set for release next year. READ MORE...
